Step 1
To download the latest SoftEther version for your system here.
Select SoftEther VPN (Freeware), then SoftEther VPN Client, then select your operating system (Windows) and select the CPU (Intel (x86 and x64) is available only. Select the first link to download the client.

Execute the installer and click on Next.
Step 3
Click on Yes.
Step 4
Select SoftEther VPN Client from the list and click on Next.
Step 5
Follow the installer and agree to the EULA and security information. Leave all settings by default. Start SoftEther after installation has been completed.
Step 6
Click on Tools, Manage Trusted CA Certificate List or press Ctrl+R.
Step 7
Click on Add.
Step 8
Select Load Certificate from File, press OK and select the file you just downloaded.
Step 9
Click with the right mouse button to import the vpn connection settings. Select the file(s) you just downloaded.
Step 10
All settings has been imported so you do not need to change anything here. You just need to enter your customer id as User Name and your API Key as Password. Please make sure that the Auth Type is set to RADIUS or NT Domain Authentication.
Step 11
Double-click on a server you want to connect to. As this is your first start SoftEther will install a virtual network adapter.
Step 12
Click here to go to our check site, where you can see if everything is configured correctly.
This tutorial was created for version 4.22 on Windows 10, so images in later versions may differ slightly, but the functionality should be the same. If not, please contact our customer service so that we can revise the tutorial and help you.
