Step 1
First of all, please note that NZBVortex is Shareware and costs US$ 9.99 onetime. The app is available as .dmg file from their website or Mac App Store. Due to Apple restrictions, the version in the Mac App Store does not include all features. However, the license of the version purchased from the Mac App Store can be transferred. For more information, click here.
You can download a free 7-days trial version from their website.
If you downloaded the app from their website please install the app now. If you bought the app from the apple app store please install it via app store.
Step 2
In case you downloaded the app from the NZBVortex website, you have to confirm that you really want to open this app. If you bought this app in the apple app store you can ignore this Step.
Step 3
By default NZBVortex will ask you to configure a download path. You need to set this path, if you click on Cancel the app will be terminated.
Step 4
Before you can start downloading, you have to configure NZBVortex. Select Preferences from the menu or press apple key + ,
Step 5
Add a new server. Enter the following details:
- Server URL: usenet.premiumize.me
- Port: 119 (for non-SSL) or 563 (for SSL)
- Use SSL: tick if you set port to 563
- Username: your customer id
- Password: your API Key
- Connections: 25
Step 6
You can now start downloading from the Usenet. You can open .nzb files with the little in the navigation bar. By default macOS will open any .nzb file with NZBVortex, if you do not have other Usenet clients installed.
This tutorial was created for version 3.3.9 on macOS Sierra 10.12, so images in later versions may differ slightly, but the functionality should be the same. If not, please contact our customer service so that we can revise the tutorial and help you.
